We all have read the many guides posted on the web on how to create a dvd burner backup onto a DVD-R disc. Most of the guides require you to spend an hour or more ripping the vob files from the DVD then extract the video and audio files using an assortment of software programs. Now that you have your video and audio files for the dvd burner, you bring them into the program. Once the files are imported, you load the software and let your program encode your DVD on the fly.

Often a dvd burning will contain copyrights which cannot be violated. If you have one that does not have copyrights, then your software can usually begin the necessary functions to clone your DVD-rom or disc. You will need to have a CD-R drive at the very minimum and quite a bit of hard drive space to allow the process to fully complete. DVDs contain alot of data. and this data needs to be stored somewhere.
